Sunday family lunch at the 8 quai Jean-Charles Rey

What a beautiful(!) dinner we spent. The menu was Just As Marvellous I expected (JAMIE) and easy doing. We cooked the products from our beautiful region, the cote d'azur, to suceed the menu.
The chicken and the potatoes were really tasty due espacially to the lemon. We add thym in the spinach to give them a little mediterranean taste, try it it's really good. The crumble was superb but the next time we'll put a bit less of sugar.
All in all, thanks to you we had a great time cooking one of jamies'dinner menu and although we don't live in the Uk we wanted to share with you our experience.

PS: There's some crumble left in the fridge, if you want to taste it....

The wouaw effect !!!!!

Thanks to you Jamie we realized a simple and tasty dinner that my friends will remember. Although we don't live in the Uk we wanted to share with you this moment.

The idea to cook the potatoes and the chicken with the lemon was a nice one, it brings an acid touch that wakes up all our senses and gives another dimension to the basic chicken recipe. The salt and the crunch of the bacon bring a contrast with the sweetness of the potatoes.
We add some garlic and other herbs like thym in the spinach to bring them a little mediterranean touch.
Regarding the crumble there as a bit too much sugar but it's a fantastic dessert that you can decline to the infinite depending on the fruit that you find. You can make some more and keep the paste in the fridge.
All in all, the dinner was Just As Marvellous I Expected (JAMIE)and easy doing. This is what we can call the wouaw effect because this was what my friends thought of this beautiful ;-) menu.

Thank you Jamie...

Ciao e buon apetito, buon provecho, enjoy your meal and bon appetit.

ps: Jamie, there's some crumble left in the fridge if you want to taste it...
