She loved it !
Hi Jamie,
Your quick-and-easy midweek supper was really great! The recipe was as fantastic as all those from your books I had tried before. (I am a huge fan of your prosciutto-eggs-tomatoes stuffed bread). The lucky party attendees was my lovely wife and myself. As you will see on the pictures you were there too:-) and my wife seemed to like the food very much.
Anyway, the dinner was really easy to make. Instead of using a fresh chilly pepper, which I did not have, I used a sweet pepper and crushed dried chilly. It worked fine.
The combination of parmiggiano and goat cheese is just fantastic. I will definitely use that great pair together again and again.
Together with that great tagliatelle of yours I served a small side salad of ice lettuce, tomatoes, avacado and rocket. The dressing was made up of olive oil, balsamico vinegar and a splash of sweet sherry. Delicious.
With such a great food came pretty nice wine. We drank a bottle of nice Barbaresco we had brouhgt from a recent trip to Milano.
Anyway, the supper was a success. No problem with preparations whatsoever. No problem with eating huge portions. No problem with the dessert.
Today I am preparring my New Year's Eve menu. I guess one or two of your recipes will find their way there too.
Thank you for every day inspiration. Keep on writing all those great books and lobby for Channel Four to be broadcast in Poland.
Regards,
Wojtek
